I have spent the past 15+ years as a work at home mom in the direct sales industry. It has allowed me to be home for my children and has given me the freedom to create my own schedule. Truly, a blessing! I’ve been able to stay home with my kids. I was able to be home with them when they’re sick, drop them off and pick them up from school on a daily basis, volunteer in class, go on their field trips with them, etc!

In addition to earning a decent income, I should mention the beautiful Mercedes Benz and all of the FREE trips that I EARNED for my husband and me over the years. The trips were always a great reward for us and a great way to spend some adult time together. 🙂

I’ve learned so much about running my own business as an independent consultant with several companies over the years. It takes a lot of passion and perseverance to be successful. I enjoyed building relationships with my hostesses, customers and team members.

I absolutely loved building a team and rewarding them for their successes! Hosting team dinners at conventions and holiday dinner parties were some of my most favorite memories. The comradery was priceless.

I’ve decided to step back from the direct sales industry for several reasons. The Direct Sales industry has its perks, however, it’s not always “unicorns and rainbows!” For some reason, this year has definitely been more challenging than I’ve experienced in the years past. It’s made me realize that perhaps NOW is the right time to step back and start my own gig! Not only start my own gig… but with a business partner. 🙂

With all that being said, I’m excited to announce that my 11-year-old daughter, Becca, and I are launching our OWN business called Crooked Crown Couture! Stay tuned… it’s just the beginning!
